Absolutely! Reach out to us today to book in your wedding date :)
We believe that this is a great article that speaks to the merits of wedding filmmaking. 98 percent of newlyweds say it is something they’d recommend to other couples.
We are based in Vancouver, but are happy to travel anywhere! The travel expenses will be considered in your quote at the time of booking.
We use a minimum of two cameras (but sometimes up to 4) on all of our wedding video shoots to ensure a good range of coverage, and that nothing is missed.
We consider ourselves storytellers. We capture raw and natural emotions and really display your unique relationship on camera. We tend to gear towards shooting more of a candid style, we love being ninjas and ghosts on your special day. But at the same time, we are flexible and if you want direction, if you want specific posed shots, we are all for it as well. Every couple is unique in their own ways and we understand. Our main aim for each wedding is to elevate the natural story that unfolds on your wedding day.
We only use lighting when we absolutely need to, we find lighting is only needed during the dancing time, or sometimes when receptions don’t have spotlights for speeches, but other than that, we try not to use additional lighting, but always have it just in case!
We definitely always carry backup cameras, you never know when something can go wrong!
We believe sound is just as important, if not more important than the visuals when it comes to filming a wedding. We use professional standard sound recording equipment to assure your vows and speeches are clear to hear with no unwanted distractions. In order to capture the clear sound of your vows and speeches, we use a combination of onboard microphones attached to our cameras, lavalier microphones, as well as take a DI output from the microphones used for speeches.
We will try to be as discreet as possible and hopefully, you’ll forget we’re even there. In some cases, we may provide a small amount of direction during the course of you day (in much the same way the photographer would). We do ask for a small amount of time alone with the bride and groom after the ceremony if time is permitted, but mostly the nature of our films means we want you to behave naturally, so we can blend into the background and capture those special moments when you least expect it.
Yes. To secure your booking for our services and save the date, we ask for a $1000 non-refundable deposit for all of our wedding film services. The deposit is paid when the contract is signed, with the remaining balance to be paid within two weeks of your big day.
We dress smart as standard to assure we blend in with your wedding guests so that our presence is as non-intrusive as possible.
Yes. It is standard practice for professional wedding videography companies to ask clients to sign contracts. This is to protect both parties and clarify exactly what is expected from the clients and what we will provide. The contract allows us to be will be prepared so that every wedding film is produced smoothly and professionally as possible.
All our films are different and take different amounts of time to produce. We would only deliver a wedding video if we are 100% happy with it, which takes around 60-120 days (stated in the contract), but in most cases can be much sooner.
That question pretty much needs its own article, but keep in mind, the hours and cost involved with: Advertising costs in the wedding space are huge, as well as administration, enquiries, marketing, gear (cameras, tripods, audio recording equipment, lighting, tools), gear maintenance, transport, meeting with clients, organizing schedules, preparation (charging batteries, cleaning lenses, clearing cards), filming, backing up the footage to multiple physical locations, editing (downloading footage, watching through, cutting down, choosing music, story-telling, colour-grading, touching up, exporting, uploading). Keep in mind that typically around 40 hours will go into just the editing alone of your wedding film! Wedding videography is a huge, detailed, and time-consuming process. If we didn’t charge what we did, the product would suffer.
We would absolutely love to meet all of our couples before their big day, but we know this isn’t always possible. So we usually recommend a phone or Skype call. We want to make sure we answer any questions you are curious about, that you are fully confident in our ability to make your wedding film and photos as special as they can be and more importantly, so we can find out a little bit about yourselves. We don’t want to be a stranger to you, we want to assure you are as comfortable as can be around us, after all, we will be a part of your special day!
Absolutely! After working in the BC wedding industry since 2016 we have got to know some amazing planners, musicians, bands, and caterers. We would be more than happy to recommend some names
